Poem 157 of 365 /Off to work

Off to work

I start my day as any other
Chi tea, fruit, warm muffin with peanut butter,
Protein milk of chocolate silk
Then to unwrinkled my sheets and quilt.

Fitted jeans, tie and shirt
A splash of Salvatore Dali and off to the mirror for a flirt,
A briefcase of workings
A kiss on your forehead of good lovable nothings.

A tip on the table for your sustenance
I whisper a plan to be home by 3,
I iron your cute favorite Sunday dress for you to impress
And reinforce you’re a daughter with unbelievable beauty.

Now daddy’s off to work.
