Poem 191 of 365/Hesitated

Hesitated

Shivering, embraced by Chicago's December kiss
Chilled laying in your arms, thirsty for warmth and compassion.

I lay beside you in stealthy silence, fighting emotions towards things I dare not say
Crawling towards disguised eternity, sampling fantasy through freedom.

Daylight wipes past from my cries, and all my nightmare materialize,
The hour I lost you, anticipated surprised filled my eyes
I urn to stop you, and hesitated.
