Poem 203 of 365/Habits of Happiness

Habits of happiness

If I ate all my vegetables, would it help?
would it please you to no end, and warrant forgiveness
acceptance, appreciation love!

If I comforted you when daddy, RAGED FRIGHTENED and force his truth on you, would it help?
Would you show me kindness, if I refrained from asking questions during your whimpering, sobbing, sniffling and aches so vibrant a newborn teething would have sympathy.
would it help?

Would it please you if my report card showed effort, instead of the movie I view at home? would it be hard to eat normally, without criticism, vandalism to your face or mine? Would it be confrontational to use justice against the man who strips us from being free?

Would it help if I separated him and you with his 22 at 13? Would you love me then? Would you show it? Will it be your truth? Will it be mine?
Will you still appreciate me for being yours when I'm expressing a minor's time at juve'
Will you still be my mommy?
